Location: US:WI:OAK CREEK at our CP-DREXEL TOWN SQ HLTH CENTER facility.
1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time
Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits
You could be eligible for a $1000 Sign on Bonus in this role.
This Occupational Health role allows for a Medical Assistant to closly support a provider. The medical assistant will be rooming patients and performing the duties related to the exams below. Experience is preferred, but not required because we are willing to train someone in those specific areas.
Breath alcohol testing
Respirator fit testing
Immunizations, TB Testing
A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual is responsible for pre- visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and other duties as assigned. The medical assistant is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The medical assistant may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations. Other duties as assigned.
One to two years of clinical experience is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate) is required. Incumbents hired through an acquisition may be grandfathered as long as they completed medical assistant training and meet our competency requirements.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.
