The role of the reproductive health MA is to work collaboratively to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered health care for women and families seeking reproductive health care at CHA. In addition to standard CHA ambulatory duties, the MA will be a key member of the reproductive health team, and will help the team provide outpatient reproductive health procedures.
Room patients, check vitals, perform urine pregnancy testing
Help patients schedule necessary follow-up appointments
Provide emotional support to patients and assist providers during patient exams and procedures.
Perform phlebotomy and package laboratory specimens for lab transport
Prepare sterile instrument trays for outpatient procedures
Clean exam rooms and package equipment for transfer to central processing
Be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels of equipment and supplies for outpatient procedures
Foster an environment of learning, by participating in the training of other providers, resident physicians and staff
Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement projects for outpatient reproductive health services
At least 2 years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
Experience with reproductive health counseling and/or outpatient gynecologic procedures preferred
Familiarity with electronic health records preferred
Must share a commitment to providing access to the full range of reproductive services within the primary care setting
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster a collaborative care environment
Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole a plus
