Job Description Kaua'i Medical Clinic is the island's largest multispecialty medical group. More than 90 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care, including cardiology, gastroenterology, health management, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its mission is to create a healthier Hawai'i and is dedicated to providing the Kaua'i community with accessible quality health care at clinic locations in ʻEleʻele, Kapaʻa, Kōloa and Līhuʻe. Kaua'i Medical Clinic also offers an Urgent Care Clinic in Līhuʻe that is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Sunday. The Kapa'a Clinic provides family practice and internal medicine on the east side of the island. Family physicians possess unique skills and knowledge, which qualifies them to provide comprehensive medical care, health maintenance and preventive services to each family member. These specialists, because of their background and interaction with the family, are best qualified to serve as the patient's advocate in all health-related matters, including the appropriate use of consultants, health services and community resources. As a Medical Assistant, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period. One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician's office, or related experience.
