Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record,
successfully complete a County provided 16-hour EVOC within 30 days of hire,
and meet the requirements outlined in the County's Policy and Procedure Manual
as it pertains to driving a County vehicle.
Must meet all current requirements of Chapter 64-J1 Florida Administrative Code and all applicable Florida Statutes for EMT's and ambulance drivers.
Must possess a current Florida State EMT certificate prior to application.
Must demonstrate proper body mechanics for lifting and moving patients in emergency and non-emergency situations.
Required knowledge of all basic skills and procedures as detailed in the DOT guidelines.
Must be able to demonstrate these skills and procedures by passing the Lee County EMS credentialing tests.
Incumbents are active members of the Lee County Division of Public Safety and are therefore subject to criminal background checks, medical and/or psychological screening as permitted by law.
