(4) years of combined full-time paid experience with a similar or larger fire/emergency (all hazards) services or (3) years of combined full-time paid experience with (2) years of volunteer all-hazards experience as a company officer or above; any combination of experience, education and training that would provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities required to be successful in the position. Must be or possess: High school graduate or equivalent. Valid California Class C Driver's License with a firefighter endorsement or greater. California Firefighter I and II certification or NFPA 1001 equivalent, ICS 300 and 400. California Emergency Medical Technician /National Registry Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic (must maintain, at a minimum, EMT with County EMS Privileges). Wildland S130 & 190, preferred Engine Boss (EB within 1 year of hire). Completion of an NFPA/NFA ICS company officer course (excluding 300/400). Completion of an Occupational Safety Course (NFPA ISO or equivalent). Completion of an Instructor Methodology Course (Instructor I). Completion of Leadership (I)/Management or equivalent. Completion of SFM company officer or equivalent NFPA program. Speak, read, and write the English language. Meet PFPD physical standards for Suppression personnel. Meet insurability requirements of the District's insurance carrier. Live within 30 minutes of district boundaries (within a year)
